The maestros at Dyson, more famous for their ultra-cool vacuum cleaners, have created the US $300 Dyson Air Multiplier, an ingenious blade-less table fan that works very differently from your average conventional fan.
Using its very own Air Multiplier Technology, it draws air in and amplifies it 15 times, producing an uninterrupted stream of smooth air, which makes a huge difference when compared to typical 'choppy' airflow produced by the blades of normal fans.
This device sucks air into its base and accelerates it through a small aperture in its ring, and then over a ramp to channel its direction.
With no blades or grill, the Air Multiplier is super-safe, and is even easy to clean.
