Just 3 months after the launch of the Kindle 2, Amazon on Wednesday unveiled the Kindle DX, a larger-screened version of the popular wireless reading device.
This new version, which has been positioned as a device for reading larger-sized documents such as newspapers, magazines and blogs, now features a better-looking, large 9.7-inch screen - more than twice the size of the Kindle 2's screen.
The Kindle DX also features a built-in accelerometer, just like that of an iPhone, which automatically rotates content between portrait and landscape orientations when you turn the device.
Amazon has included the ability to read pdf documents and also increased the storage capacity to 3.3 GB, providing space for up to 3,500 books, periodicals, and documents.
