The pet dinosaur for kids

Yet another toy introduced at this year's International Toy Fair in New York was Kota the Triceratops from Playskool.

This huge prehistoric 'pet' that's big enough to be sat on by kids, stands at over 2.5 feet tall and 40 inches long. It features sophisticated electronics, animatronics, and reacts to touch and sound.

With sensors in eleven different areas on its body, Kota will react to touch by moving his head, tail and horns, and will even bounce kids up and down when they climb on it. Tickling its belly or chin will make it 'laugh', and touching its nose will make it 'sniff' your kids' hands.

Running on just six D-sized batteries, this friendly creature also makes realistic stomping sounds, with four different adventure-themed tunes built-in to it to help your children's imagination run free while 'riding' it.

This dinosaur, aimed at children 3 years and above, comes with a leafy "snack", which when 'fed', really sounds and looks like it's munching on it.

Kota the Triceratops Commercial

Kota the Triceratops will be available towards the end of this year for around US$299.99.
