Recently unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2009, Sony's Vaio P Series Lifestyle PC is the world's current lightest 8-inch notebook, weighing in at a mere 1.4 pounds..

This gorgeous laptop is less than 1-inch thin and is available in 4 colours that are fashionably sexy enough for women and 'rugged' enough for men.

The Lifestyle PC has no touchpad, but instead has a 'pointing stick', commonly used on small notebooks that are currently available.

Being small enough to fit into your jacket pocket, this notebook is made for Internet portability with built-in 3G Mobile Broadband and Wi-Fi connectivity. It's also packed with GPS and of course Bluetooth.

An interesting feature is the instant-on operating system which it launches before booting into Windows, similar to that of Sony's PS3 and PSP consoles, that allows you to view your photos and play your music without having to wait for Windows to boot up.

The fact that this tiny notebook runs Windows Vista instead of XP quite smoothly with its 2GB of RAM (up to 4GB capacity) shows just how powerful of a processor it has.

The wide 1600 x 768 resolution easily displays the width of an entire page, without having you to scroll from side to side just like you would do on small laptops nowadays.

The Sony Vaio P Series Lifestyle PC retails at around US$900 and comes in garnet red, emerald green, onyx black and crystal white colours. It also ships with a stylish leather case. Lets hope this gadget arrives in Brunei soon..
